This is my first attempt to participate in the Tuesday Twister at GNOWFGLINS I've been taking their pay as you can e-class on traditional cooking and really learning a lot. This post is an attempt to catch up the things I've been making the past couple weeks.

Water keifer. What I've learned... don't use store bought apricots... unless you like the taste of sulfur, need to dry my own this summer. Adding banana, I liked it my hubby didn't. Adding crystallized ginger.. yummy and for the hubby adding Black Cherry juice concentrate.. hubby said" this is good" hope it was still good for him!!
The best for last. Sometimes especially when you are learning new ways of doing things good enough is good enough. I hope this is an encouragement to all the busy Mommies trying to do their best. I had my grandson for a couple days and his two year old sister. Life got busy and the best I could do was to buy the healthiest peanut butter I could find and the best bread that they would eat and let them add fresh strawberries from the garden!
Looks good! One of my favorite water keifer fruits is fresh pineapple, it tastes so summery and it really lends it flavor well.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to try out water kefir soon! I just got some grains from a friend and am looking forward to it. I hadn't heard of the banana idea - very interesting!
